The Indian Coast Guard are responsible for the protection of the aquatic ecosystem of the national water and are also entrusted to carry on various rescue mission in times of emergency,enforcing the Maritime Zones of Indian Act and are responsible to perform different operations with the collaboration with the Indian Navy and the Customs Department in situations of national theft of nation properties.
The Indian Coast Guard hold their recruitment for the various post which can be offered to the candidates who are interested to apply for the ICG or the Indian Coast Guard.
Indian Coast Guard provides the candidates with two distinct branches or the trades under the Yantrik (Technical Department) and the Navik (Sailor).

Indian Coast Guard Exam Pattern & Physical Test Details 2019
Entrance exam:- The candidates who have been declared to be eligible for the selection will then have to appear the entrance examination that are conducted upon various syllabus and topics of the subjects that are set as per the prescribed ones.
The written exam will be based upon the objective question or multiple choice questions based on the topics of Maths,Physics,Chemistry,English,General Knowledge,Current Affairs,Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning.
